Professor Gwen Robinson is a faculty member at the School of Law, University of Sheffield, where she has worked since 2002. Her research focuses on probation reform, non-custodial punishment, and the sociology of punishment, with a particular emphasis on empirical studies of criminal justice system transitions. She holds a PhD from the University of Wales, Swansea, and her prior degrees include an MSc in Applied Social Studies and a Diploma in Social Work from the University of Oxford, and a BA in Psychology from the University of Sussex.
