Gwen Clifford

Gwen Clifford is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Winchester, affiliated with the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing. With 25 years of experience in early years, primary, special, and inclusive education, she combines her background as a former primary headteacher with expertise in mental health nursing. Her research focuses on gamification strategies in children's learning and values-based learning to enhance personal, social, and emotional development for positive mental health outcomes.

She leads the Unit for Girl Guiding UK (Brownies and Guides) and supports voluntary projects for the Human Values Foundation. Additionally, she serves as an officiating member of the British Amateur Swimming Association. Her teaching spans diverse programs, including BEd (Hons), Link Tutor ITT, and Foundation Degrees in Early Childhood.
