Dr. Guy Fournier is a Professor at Pforzheim University's College of Engineering since 2004 and affiliated with S.E.R.G./CentraleSupélec in France since 2018. As a co-founder of the Institute for Industrial Ecology (INEC) in 2010, he focuses on sustainable mobility and system innovation, blending engineering with international economics and sustainable development.
Education:
- Doctorate in Germany (awarded best doctorate in 1994 by SEL-Alcatel Foundation in Stuttgart)
His research spans electric vehicles, automated mobility systems, and intelligent transport solutions, addressing global challenges through projects like Horizon 2020’s AVENUE (2018-2022) and Horizon Europe’s ULTIMO (2022-2026). ULTIMO integrates automated mini-buses into MaaS/ITS frameworks in Geneva, Herford, and Oslo, aiming to transform urban mobility.
He contributes to international collaborations such as CooL4 (EU-Japan Level4 Automated Mobility Services) and leads the GE4 network, fostering global partnerships between engineering and management institutions since 2016.

As a pioneer in interdisciplinary education, he founded the Bachelor's program in International Business Administration and Engineering. His management duties include leading international development for Pforzheim’s Faculty of Engineering for 15 years and serving on DAAD’s selection committee for foreign guest lecturers.
