Gunnar Aksel Bjune is a Professor of International Health at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo, where he has been affiliated since 1996. His career spans multiple institutions including the University of Bergen (1992-1996) and the Norwegian Public Health Agency (1986-1992). He holds a Dr.med. from 1980 (Leprosy Immunology) and Cand.med. from 1970.
