معرفی
Guido Serini is a Full Professor in the Department of Oncology at the University of Turin, affiliated with the Cell Adhesion Dynamics Laboratory at the Istituto Tumori di Candiolo-IRCCS. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms regulating vascular endothelial cell adhesion in physiological and tumor contexts, particularly the role of Semaphorins and integrins in tumor blood vessel normalization. He leads projects developing therapeutic strategies to improve cancer treatment efficacy.
- Roles: Full Professor, Department Council Member, Research Commission Head
- Research Themes: Cell adhesion dynamics, tumor angiogenesis, vascular permeability, and semaphorin signaling
His work bridges basic science and clinical applications, with contributions to drug development targeting vascular abnormalities in cancers. He teaches courses in clinical biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular medicine at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including the MD-PhD program.
