Gregory Rosston serves as Professor of Economics (by courtesy) at Stanford University, Director of the Public Policy program, and Gordon Cain Senior Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR). He teaches courses in competition policy, economic policy analysis, and writing and rhetoric.
His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University and an A.B. with Honors from the University of California at Berkeley.
Dr. Rosston specializes in Competition Policy and Telecommunications, applying economic frameworks to regulatory challenges. His expertise was instrumental in designing the U.S. spectrum auctions and implementing the Telecommunications Act of 1996 during his tenure as Deputy Chief Economist at the FCC.
His honors include:

He provides strategic consultation to the World Bank, FCC, and technology/finance firms, while holding board positions as Vice Chair of Stanford Federal Credit Union, Nepal Youth Foundation director, and advisor to Sustainable Conservation and the Technology Policy Institute.
