Gregory Halpern

Gregory Halpern serves as Professor at the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences within the College of Art and Design at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). His distinguished career bridges academic instruction with internationally recognized artistic practice, with photographs held in major museum collections including The Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson.

Halpern earned his BA in History and Literature from Harvard University and an MFA from California College of the Arts.
