Tamar Halpern is an Assistant Professor at Chapman University's Lawrence and Kristina Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, specializing in Film and Media Arts. With a career spanning over a decade, Halpern has written and directed 11 feature films, including five female-driven thrillers for A&E Networks. Her 2022 series adaptation of the YA book Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus was sold to MAX, and her novel California Girl was published in September 2023.
