Gregg Gonsalves is a Visiting Associate Professor of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School, specializing in policy modeling for infectious diseases and substance use. His research leverages quantitative models to improve epidemic responses. With over 30 years of experience working with organizations like the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power and Treatment Action Group, he bridges academic research and practical health interventions. Gonsalves is also the public health correspondent for The Nation.
His work focuses on the intersection of public policy and health equity, particularly in HIV/AIDS and global health contexts. He holds a PhD from Yale and was recognized as a MacArthur Fellow in 2018 for his contributions to public health.
