His scholarship bridges theoretical legal education with real-world client representation challenges, particularly for economically vulnerable populations navigating complex civil justice systems.
During his 13-year tenure at Legal Aid of North Carolina’s Durham Office, he provided direct supervision to Duke Civil Justice Clinic students on live consumer law cases while co-counseling on critical matters. He previously chaired North Carolina's statewide consumer task force for legal services organizations, shaping policy frameworks for consumer advocacy across the state.
Admitted to practice before the North Carolina bar and federal courts for the Middle/Eastern Districts of North Carolina and Northern District of Ohio, he maintains active engagement with clinical legal education through the Duke Civil Justice Clinic. His professional trajectory demonstrates sustained commitment to improving access to justice through both classroom instruction and direct community service.
