Greg Carne is an Associate Professor in Constitutional Law, Human Rights, International Law and National Security Law at the University of New England's School of Law, where he chairs the Law Research Committee. He also holds an Adjunct Professor position at Curtin University. His qualifications include a BA LLB (Hons) from Monash, Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Melbourne, and PhD in Law from Australian National University.
His research focuses on:
- Constitutional law interpretation and reform
- International and domestic human rights frameworks
- National security legislation and counter-terrorism laws
- Parliamentary oversight of security agencies
He has published extensively in these areas, with recent work examining ministerial responsibility, security legislation processes, and constitutional interpretation challenges.
