Graziella Romeo is an Associate Professor of Law at Bocconi University, where she leads the Democracy, Solidarity, and Governance in Europe stream at the Bocconi Lab for European Studies (BLEST). She holds a PhD in Constitutional Law from Università degli Studi di Milano and a JD from Bocconi. Her research focuses on constitutional theory, comparative constitutional law, and the interplay between judicial and political recognition of fundamental rights. She leads the ALFA project on family arrangements and fertility in Italy, and co-leads the GDHR Network on digital human rights.
Teaching includes courses on comparative public law, gender law, fundamental rights in Europe, and transnational constitutional law. Courses she developed include Citizenship and Migration Law (2016) and Gender Law and Women’s Rights (2020). She also co-teaches Methodology in Legal Research, emphasizing multidisciplinary approaches.
Research Projects include a Fondazione Cariplo-funded study on non-traditional families (ALFA) and a COST Action on Global Digital Human Rights. Her work spans migrants’ rights, women’s rights, constitutional cultures, and digital governance.
Affiliations include visiting roles at Fordham Law School, London School of Economics, and Washington University in St. Louis. She contributes to the Bocconi Equal Opportunities Committee and engages in policy-relevant legal scholarship.
