Graham MacGregor

Professor Graham MacGregor holds the position of Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London, and serves as an Honorary Consultant at Barts & The London NHS Trust. He also holds a visiting professorship in Cardiovascular Medicine at St George's Hospital Medical School, London. His research focuses on hypertension, dietary sodium/potassium impacts, and public health policy interventions.

Key initiatives include founding Consensus Action on Salt and Health (CASH) and its global counterpart World Action on Salt and Health (WASH), advocating for reduced dietary salt in processed foods. He also co-founded Action on Sugar and the Blood Pressure UK charity, which has conducted over 250,000 blood pressure screenings annually through its 'Know Your Numbers' campaign.

His awards include the 2008 Charity of the Year Award for Blood Pressure UK. Current projects involve modeling strategies to reduce sugar consumption and evaluating salt reduction programs in Mexico and China using digital health interventions.
