Feng J He

Professor Feng J He is a Professor of Global Health Research at Queen Mary University of London, affiliated with the Wolfson Institute of Population Health and the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. As Deputy Director of the NIHR Global Health Research Unit Action on Salt China (ASC), he leads initiatives to reduce dietary salt, sugar, and saturated fat intake at the population level to prevent non-communicable diseases. His research spans cardiovascular epidemiology, public health policy, and global health interventions in China and Malaysia.

He holds a PhD from St George's University of London (2002) and has extensive experience in clinical practice and cardiovascular disease prevention. Key projects include the EduSaltS and AppSalt programs targeting salt reduction in schools and families through mHealth interventions, restaurant salt reduction trials, and policy development for out-of-home sectors in Malaysia.

His work emphasizes translational research, linking scientific evidence to actionable public health strategies, and involves collaborations with international organizations like the Resolve to Save Lives and the World Hypertension League.
