Prof. d-r Goran Ilik is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Goce Delčev – Kicevo, North Macedonia. His academic career spans teaching and research across First, Second, and Third Cycle Studies, focusing on European Union Law, Constitutional Law, and International Relations. He teaches courses such as 'Political System and Law of the European Union,' 'EU Institutions,' and 'EU Common Foreign and Security Policy.'
His research interests center on EU integration processes, global governance challenges, Balkan geopolitics, and the interplay between technology and human rights. Prof. Ilik has published extensively on topics including Russian informational influence in the Western Balkans, cryptocurrency regulation, migration governance, and the EU's role in conflict resolution. He is actively involved in clinical legal education initiatives, as demonstrated by his case study on the Faculty of Law’s legal clinics improving access to justice.
Prof. Ilik has contributed to international projects through ERASMUS+ programs and has engaged in policy analysis regarding North Macedonia’s EU aspirations and regional stability. His work frequently addresses contemporary challenges such as disinformation campaigns, post-pandemic migrant worker governance, and the balance between technological advancement and democratic freedoms.
He holds a prominent role in shaping legal and political discourse in North Macedonia, with a focus on constitutional identity, human rights protection, and the evolving dynamics of global power structures.
