Abdulla Azizi

Abdulla Azizi is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Contemporary Social Sciences, South East European University (SEEU) in Tetovo, North Macedonia. He has served at SEEU since 2002 in various academic and leadership capacities, including as Acting Dean (2021-2023), ProDean, and Director of the Center for Research in Public Administration (2008-2010). He is also an active member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts since 2016 and serves on the Macedonian National Council for Sustainable Development since 2011.

Professor Azizi holds a Doctor of Sciences in Public Administration from SEEU (2005-2007), a Master in International Law and International Relations from Sv. Kiril i Metodij University in Skopje (2001-2005), and a Law degree with a specialty in Administrative Sciences from the same institution (1997-2001). His doctoral thesis focused on 'European Union Administration and Social Issues.'

His research interests center on Public Administration, European Union Integration, International Relations, Rule of Law, Governance, Constitutional Law, Foreign Policy, and Migration Studies. His scholarly work demonstrates a strong focus on North Macedonia's European integration process, public administration reforms, constitutional developments, and regional cooperation in the Western Balkans.

His 15 most recent publications reveal a consistent thematic focus on governance challenges in the Western Balkans, particularly regarding North Macedonia and Kosovo. Key research trends include European integration processes, rule of law implementation, constitutional reforms, foreign policy analysis, and migration management. His work often employs comparative analysis of international evaluations, particularly European Commission progress reports.

Professor Azizi is multilingual, with native proficiency in Albanian, advanced proficiency in Macedonian, English and Serbian, intermediate proficiency in French and Croatian, and basic proficiency in Bulgarian and Turkish. His international engagement includes participation in numerous OSCE and European Commission funded programs as a national expert.
