Gopal Dayaneni is an Adjunct Faculty member at Antioch University's Undergraduate Studies program, where he teaches courses in urban sustainability. As a lifelong activist since the late 1980s, he has worked at the intersection of ecology, economy, and empire through direct action movements, teaching, and community organizing.

He has also worked as an elementary and early childhood educator, co-directing the Tenderloin Childcare Center in the U.S. and engaging in teacher education work in India. The father of two, he resides in Oakland, California, in a multi-generational intentional community.
