Gleb Shtyrmer is an Adjunct Professor in the Studio Art Department at Santa Reparata International School of Art (SRISA) in Florence, Italy. He specializes in Renaissance Painting & Drawing techniques, offering courses including Renaissance Drawing and Painting Techniques, Renaissance Drawing Techniques, and Renaissance Painting Techniques.
Education:
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University (2008)
- Combined B.FA + M.FA certificate from the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence (2016)
Shtyrmer's artistic practice explores the profound connection between urban spaces and their inhabitants. He creates deserted, dreamlike cityscapes that capture contemporary urban life where individuals often appear anonymous and isolated. His work spans drawing, printmaking, and painting, executed both outdoors and in studio settings.
His artistic output has gained international recognition, with works featured in public and private collections across Italy, Russia, Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
