Giulia Dore is a Research Fellow affiliated with the Faculty of Law at the University of Trento, where she contributes to the LawTech Research Group. She previously served as a Post-doctoral Research Assistant at the University of Glasgow's CREATe (Centre for Creativity, Regulation, and Culture). Her research focuses on intellectual property law, copyright, cultural heritage, and the intersections of law and economics. She has actively participated in international projects such as OpenMinTeD, an EC/H2020-funded initiative (Grant ID 654021), addressing computational linguistics and legal frameworks for natural language processing.
Key academic contributions include analyses of EU moral rights harmonization, Italian copyright law, and the legal challenges surrounding cultural heritage preservation. She has presented at conferences like EIPTN 2023 (Copenhagen) and contributed to discussions on copyright exceptions, public domain issues, and the socio-legal dimensions of artistic works. Her work bridges theoretical legal scholarship with practical applications in digital innovation and cultural policy.
Giulia holds a Doctor Europaeus in Comparative and European Studies from the University of Trento (2014). She collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, addressing topics such as AI ethics, legal frameworks for industrial design, and the socio-economic impact of intellectual property regimes.
