Ginevra Floridi is a Lecturer in Sociology and Quantitative Methods at the School of Social and Political Science, University of Edinburgh. She holds a PhD in Demography from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Previously, she was a Postdoctoral Prize Research Fellow at Nuffield College, University of Oxford (2021–2023), and a Research Associate at King's College London (2019–2021).
Her research focuses on social demography, family sociology, and intergenerational transfers, with an emphasis on inequality, welfare policy, and long-term care. She explores how societal factors influence individual outcomes, particularly in contexts like parental support, aging populations, and caregiving dynamics.
