Gina Cho Sims

Gina Cho Sims, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Musculoskeletal Radiology Division. Her clinical expertise encompasses interpretation of musculoskeletal radiographs, computed tomography (CT) scans, and magnetic resonance (MR) images.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin; Medical Degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center.
• Training: Diagnostic Radiology residency at George Washington University Medical Center; Advanced Musculoskeletal Radiology training at the University of California–San Diego.

Dr. Cho Sims specializes in MRI of the extremities and internal derangements of joints. Her research has contributed to advancements in musculoskeletal imaging techniques and diagnostic accuracy.

She actively participates in academic leadership as a member of the Radiology Residency Program Evaluation Committee and supervises musculoskeletal radiology fellows/residents at Parkland Hospital. Additional responsibilities include serving on the Radiology Performance Improvement Committee.
