Gina Brandenburg

Gina Brandenburg is a Lecturer in the Department of Sport Management, Wellness, and Physical Education at University of West Georgia's College of Education. She holds certifications as a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and Certified Wellness Practitioner (CWP) with specialized training in chronic disease management, nutrition education, and worksite wellness programs.

Her teaching portfolio includes courses on health promotion principles, social determinants of health, worksite wellness programming, and contemporary health issues. She previously managed Tanner Health System's Get Healthy Live Well initiative before transitioning to academia full-time in 2017.

Brandenburg's research applies photovoice methodology to study abroad experiences and community health education. Outside academia, she enjoys bicycling, fitness walking, travel, photography, and cooking.
