Gillian Haddock

Prof Gillian Haddock is a Professor of Clinical Psychology at The University of Manchester, with an honorary appointment at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and co-Director of the Patient Safety Research Unit. She completed her BSc (Hons) in Psychology at the University of York, followed by clinical psychology training and PhD at the University of Liverpool. Her research focuses on psychological treatments for severe mental health issues, particularly psychosis, suicide prevention, forensic psychology, and substance misuse. Key contributions include the May Davidson Award (1998) and leadership roles in professional organizations like BABCP. Her work addresses implementation challenges in mental health wards, digital health innovations for psychosis, and suicide prevention in correctional settings.
