Filippo Varese is a Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Manchester and Associate Director of Research and Innovation at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH). He leads the Complex Trauma & Resilience Research Unit (C-TRU), focusing on trauma-informed interventions for severe mental health issues. His work includes pioneering clinical trials like the EASE and RESTART trials targeting psychosis and trauma. Varese holds an NIHR Advanced Fellowship (2021) and the May Davidson Award (2022). He teaches across clinical psychology programs and supervises doctoral students, recognized for his commitment to student welfare.
