Gillian Eriksson, Ph.D., is a Senior Lecturer and Coordinator of the Gifted Education Program at the University of Central Florida (UCF), overseeing certificate and degree specializations in Gifted Education. She leads UCF’s Project GLIMPSE (USDOE Jacob K. Javits Grant, 2022–2027), collaborating with the School District of Osceola County to support Title I schools and teacher leaders. Her roles include teaching Curriculum, Educational Psychology, and Global Education.
Dr. Eriksson holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Connecticut (1988), specializing in Curriculum Development, Research, and Gifted Education. She has an international reputation, serving as a USA delegate to the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children (2007–2013) and presenting at global conferences. Her research focuses on unrecognized high-ability learners and comparative education systems.
She has received awards for teaching excellence, internationalization, and mentorship, including the 2015 APA Golden Psi Award for curriculum development. Her editorial work includes Gifted Education International and contributions to Florida’s Gifted Training Manuals.
