Giada Giusmin is a Senior Lecturer in Midwifery at the Oxford School of Nursing and Midwifery, Oxford Brookes University. She also serves as Admissions Lead for Midwifery programmes and maintains clinical practice ties as an Academic Assessor and Link Lecturer.
Research Focus: Her work centers on postnatal assessment of perineal trauma and experiences of ethnic minority midwifery students. She co-led a global study on ethnic majority midwifery students and contributes to the 'Anatomy and Physiology Textbook for Midwives'.
Publications: Recent articles explore qualitative synthesis of perineal trauma assessment experiences (2025), racial equity challenges in midwifery education (2023), and cultural perceptions influencing career choices among ethnic minority applicants (2023).
Professional Affiliation: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, maintaining clinical expertise through prior 10-year practice at John Radcliffe Hospital in high-risk midwifery care.
