Sara Stride is a Senior Lecturer in Midwifery at Bournemouth University, affiliated with the Bournemouth Gateway Building on the Lansdowne Campus. Her research focuses on perineal care practices, clinical guidelines, and maternal health outcomes in UK midwifery.

Her 2021 publication in Midwifery examines factors influencing midwives' perineal practices, while her 2017 conference presentation at the International Confederation of Midwives Congress highlighted updates to perineal practice standards.
