Rachel Jokhi is a Senior Lecturer in Midwifery at the School of Allied Health Professions, Nursing and Midwifery, University of Sheffield. She joined the university in 2012 after working as a Senior Midwife and Midwifery Practice Facilitator at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and previously as a Midwife Teacher at the University of Nottingham.
- Role: Programme Leader for Practice of Family Planning and Reproductive Sexual Health
- Role: Joint Programme Lead for Preparation of Supervisor of Midwives course
- Teaching: Online MMid and clinical skills programmes
Research Interests: Focus on obstetric emergency skills drills, perineal trauma, and midwifery supervision. Her work emphasizes clinical governance, professional development, and quality assurance in midwifery practices.
Publications: Investigate midwifery supervision frameworks, including the role of local supervising authorities and clinical governance in reproductive healthcare.
Professional Activities: Appointed Supervisor of Midwives by Local Supervising Authority (Yorkshire and Humber), member of Yorkshire and Humber Obstetric Emergency Skills Drill Steering group, and maintains clinical skills through ongoing midwifery practice.
