Gholamreza Mesri

Gholamreza Mesri is the Ralph B. Peck Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Illinois. His research focuses on geotechnical engineering, soil behavior, and ground modification technologies. Mesri has consulted internationally on major infrastructure projects including dams, tunnels, and airports.

He co-authored the authoritative 'Soil Mechanics in Engineering Practice' and received numerous honors including the Karl Terzaghi Award and Norman Medal. Current projects include landslide movement, lime remediation, and vacuum-assisted ground improvement.
