Prof. Dr. Gereon Müller is a Professor of Theoretical Linguistics at the University of Leipzig since August 2004. Previously, he served as a research assistant in the Grammar Department at the Institut für Deutsche Sprache (IDS) from April 2001 to July 2004. His academic journey includes studies in General Linguistics, German Studies, Slavic Studies, and Philosophy at the universities of Frankfurt/Main and Konstanz. He earned his Master's degree (1990) from the University of Konstanz, followed by a doctorate (1993) and habilitation (1996) from the University of Tübingen. Müller held positions as a research associate at Konstanz (1991–1992) and Tübingen (1992–1997), and was a DFG Heisenberg Fellow (1998–2001). He has taught at the Universities of Konstanz, Tübingen, Stuttgart, and Mannheim.
