Gerdy Jurgens is a Professor of Administrative Law at Utrecht University, affiliated with the Institute of Constitutional, Administrative Law and Legal Theory. He holds a doctoral degree (cum laude) from the Catholic University of Nijmegen (1988) and a PhD from Utrecht University (1996) on the topic of administrative tolerance. His primary research focuses on administrative law, environmental law, public law, legal theory, and regulatory governance. He has held prominent roles including State Councillor in the Administrative Jurisdiction Division of the Council of State since 2014.
