Assoc Professor Gerard Cagney serves as Associate Professor and Director of the Mass Spectrometry Core at the University College Dublin in the School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science. His research spans proteomics, epigenetics, and systems biology with applications in psychiatric biomarker discovery, plant biochemistry, and microbial biotechnology. He leads the BiOrbic Bioeconomy Research Center's WP2 and has secured major grants from Wellcome Trust and Science Foundation Ireland.
