Gerald Auger

Dr. Gerald Auger is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Cyber and Computer Sciences at The Citadel, part of the Swain Family School of Science and Mathematics. He holds a PhD in Cyber Operations (Dakota State University, 2019) and dual Master's degrees in Information Assurance (2011) and Computer Science (2008). His expertise spans information security, compliance frameworks, and risk management, with a focus on healthcare and cloud environments.

Research interests include practical approaches to organizational security program development, leveraging frameworks like CISSP and CISA standards. His publications address challenges in small healthcare provider security and cloud software usage.

Dr. Auger is certified in multiple domains: CISSP, HCISPP, CISM, CISA, ITIL, and Scrum Mastery. He advises on reducing organizational risk while balancing cost and efficiency.
