Georgia Graham

Georgia Graham serves as an Early Childhood Education Instructor and Director of the Child and Parent Development Center at Mississippi University for Women's School of Education, where she champions play-based pedagogical approaches. Holding a B.S. in Human Sciences and an M.S. in Human Development and Family Sciences from Mississippi State University, she integrates developmental theory with practical early childhood applications.

Her research focuses on transformative educational frameworks emphasizing:

• Child-centered play methodologies as foundational learning tools
• Standardized assessment techniques for developmental milestones
• Mentorship systems for pre-service educators
• Community-integrated place-based curricula

Graham actively shapes state-level policy through her advisory role on Mississippi's Early Intervention Task Force while providing national certification support as a Child Development Associate Professional Development Specialist. She maintains professional affiliations with the Mississippi Early Childhood Association (MsECA), Southern Early Childhood Association (SECA), and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

As Center Director, she oversees laboratory school operations and community outreach programs that model evidence-based play environments, maintaining regular office hours for student consultations both in-person and virtually.
