Alison Pepper

Alison Pepper is an adjunct instructor at Bank Street College of Education's Early Childhood Leadership track and a nationally recognized early childhood consultant with 45 years of experience. She holds a Master’s in ECE Supervision and Administration from Bank Street. Her expertise includes leadership development for program directors, NAEYC accreditation facilitation, and creating child-centered learning environments inspired by Reggio Emilia principles.

Education: MSEd in Early Childhood Education from Bank Street College of Education.

• Quality improvement strategies in early childhood programs
• Accreditation systems and professional development frameworks
• Leadership training for early childhood administrators
• Play-based, inquiry-driven educational environments

Publications: Authored Kickstart Kindergarten Readiness (2017) and co-authored a foundational text on NAEYC accreditation best practices during her tenure at NAEYC.

• Assistant Vice President at JCC Association of North America (2012–2015)
• Directed Quality New York (QNY), supporting 160 programs achieve NAEYC accreditation

Consulting: Currently program evaluator for NYC Department of Education and advises on family engagement strategies.
