George Tsekouras is an Associate Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Greenwich, based in the School of Business, Operations and Strategy within the Faculty of Business. He serves as the Innovation Chair of the British Academy of Management (BAM) and previously led the CENTRIM Centre for Change, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Management at the University of Brighton (2017–2023). His expertise spans open innovation, SME development, and innovation coaching, with a focus on practical applications in public-private partnerships and social enterprise ecosystems.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- DPhil in Innovation Management from SPRU (Science Policy Research Unit), University of Sussex
Research & Projects: George coordinates major initiatives like INSPIRE (Open Innovation in SMEs), SPARK (Social Enterprise Innovation Ecosystems), and RAPPORT (SME Research Collaboration). He designed the EIC Accelerator’s innovation coaching framework and founded the Profitnet programme, supporting 2,000+ SMEs globally through peer-to-peer learning networks.
