Professor Lynn Martin is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Anglia Ruskin University's Faculty of Business and Law, Department of Management. Her research focuses on identity work in innovation and entrepreneurship, gender dynamics in STEM leadership, and small firm growth. She has held roles as Academic Advisor for X-forces Enterprise, Fellow of the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship, and non-executive director for tech startups. Educated at the University of Warwick (PhD in Human Capital Formation in Small Firms), she has received Best Paper Awards at ISBE and BAM conferences. Her work spans grants like the Amazon-funded 'Inspiring Women in Innovation' and the International Olympic Studies Centre project. Active in editorial boards of journals like the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour & Research, she has supervised over 10 doctoral students and examined numerous theses. Her teaching roles include former Associate Dean for Teaching, Learning and Assessment, and leadership in doctoral programs.
Research interests include gender in entrepreneurship, innovation in small firms, and technology adoption. Current projects explore enterprise ecosystems and women's equity funding through partnerships with EU and global organizations. She advises on policy and innovation globally, balancing academic leadership with practical industry engagement.
