George Kalogeris, PhD, is an Associate Professor Emeritus of English at Suffolk University, where he also serves as Director of the Classics Minor and the Poetry Center. He holds a PhD and MA in English from Boston University, and a BS from Suffolk University. His research focuses on Greek and Roman literature in translation, modern lyric poetry, and the pastoral tradition. Dr. Kalogeris has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the James Dickey Poetry Prize (2018) and the Meringoff Prize for Poetry (2014).

Dr. Kalogeris teaches courses ranging from classical mythology to creative writing, including ENG-375 Poetry Writing Workshop and ENG-316 Fifth Century Athens. He is deeply involved in fostering literary arts through the Poetry Center, promoting contemporary poetry and classical traditions.
