George Castle is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Communicative Sciences and Disorders department at NYU Steinhardt. He has been recognized with the NYU|Steinhardt Teaching Excellence Award for his classroom contributions and professional service. His research explores cognition measurement, language/literacy development in neurotypical and ASD populations, and translational clinical practices.

Research Focus: Dr. Castle investigates language development across populations, with emphasis on ASD. His work examines vocabulary, reading comprehension, and pragmatic language relationships, supported by NIH funding.
Clinical Work: Provides speech-language pathology services across pediatric and adult populations. Supervises externships for graduate clinicians.
Advocacy: Serves on NBASLH Board of Directors, mentors underrepresented students, and promotes diversity in CSD through webinars and consultations.
