Georg Bauer is a Professor at the University of Zurich, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and the Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention Institute (EBPI). He leads the Division Public & Organizational Health and the Center of Salutogenesis, focusing on Salutogenesis and positive health development in workplace and organizational contexts.
His research explores how psychosocial working conditions, job crafting, and sense of coherence influence employee health, particularly during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. Recent publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches to occupational health, mental well-being, and innovative intervention models.
Key projects include the Craft4Health initiative and the UZH Innovathon on a Human-Centered Future of Work. His work bridges organizational health, mental health stigma, and digital occupational interventions, contributing to the Digital Society Initiative (DSI) Community Health.
