Geoffrey Pfeifer

Geoffrey Pfeifer is an Associate Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), affiliated with The Global School and the Department of Philosophy & Religion. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy (2012) from the University of South Florida, an M.A. in Philosophy (2005) from the University of New Mexico, and a B.A. in Philosophy (2003) from the University of Colorado at Denver.

• Research Interests: Social and Political Philosophy, Marxism, Global Justice, Development Ethics, Critical Pedagogies, Diversity/Equity/Inclusion, Phenomenology, Continental Philosophy, Climate Justice.
• Teaching: Philosophy courses, Global Studies courses, and co-teaching Seeking Sustainability and Climate Change in WPI's Great Problems Seminars program.
• Recent Publications: Focus on authoritarianism, climate justice, and critical theory intersections.
• Editorial Roles: Co-Executive Editor of Philosophy in the Contemporary World (since 2017), Co-Editor of The Politics of Desire: Deleuze, Foucault, and Psychoanalysis (Rowman & Littlefield, 2022), and Co-Editor of Phenomenology and the Political (Rowman & Littlefield, 2016).
