Francisco Conde Soto is a Professor at the University of Santiago de Compostela, affiliated with the Faculty of Philosophy and the Department of Philosophy and Anthropology. He is part of the Humanities Research Institute (iHUS) and the GMPMEC research group on Modern and Contemporary Thought. Previously, he contributed to the CIDACOM group on Citizenship and Communication. His doctoral thesis (2007) focused on Husserl’s theory of time consciousness under Dr. Francesc Pereña at the University of Barcelona.
Research Interests: Conde Soto’s work bridges phenomenology, particularly Husserl’s teleology and temporal consciousness, with Lacanian psychoanalysis. He explores cultural conflict through concepts like habitualidad and Heimwelt (‘home-world’), and critiques interdisciplinary topics such as Marxism, capitalism, and political theory. His analysis spans critical discourse, cultural identity, and the intersection of philosophy with social and political issues.
Publications: His articles address Husserl’s teleological framework, Lacan’s critique of Marxist plusvalía, and intercultural dynamics. Recent works include critiques of victimhood concepts and explorations of Deleuze-Guattari’s Body Without Organs. His interdisciplinary approach integrates philosophy, psychoanalysis, and political theory.
Labs/Teams: Active in research groups like GMPMEC and CIDACOM, contributing to projects on cultural theory and phenomenological ethics.
