His academic credentials include a B.S.E. from Princeton University and M.S./Ph.D. degrees from MIT.

Current work focuses on policy implications of platform dominance, evidenced by his EU Digital Markets Act advisory role.
Major recognitions include:

- Election as Fellow of the Production and Operations Management Society (Spring 2020)
Parker actively translates research into practice through executive advising on platform strategy and frequent keynotes. His policy engagement includes membership in the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Advanced Manufacturing (Fall 2020) and European Commission expert panels on digital regulation.
