Geoff Page is Lecturer in Social Policy at the University of York's School for Business and Society. His research examines drug policy for marginalized populations, particularly within criminal justice contexts.
With lived experience of substance dependence, Page worked as an addictions counselor before earning his MPhil and PhD in Criminology from the University of Cambridge. He led the national evaluation of Drug Recovery Wings and developed policy blueprints for substance-dependent prisoners.
Current research investigates long-term methadone maintenance, crack/heroin user needs, and policing approaches. Page convenes the final-year module 'Drugs: Prevalence, Policy and Practice' and serves as admissions tutor for Social Policy programs.
