Prun Bijral

Dr. Prun Bijral is an Honorary Teaching Fellow at the University of St Andrews School of Medicine, specializing in addiction psychiatry and substance use disorders. His research focuses on interventions for opioid and methadone treatment adherence, contingency management strategies, and public health implications of illicit drug use. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of St Andrews (1996) and a combined Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Manchester (1998). He serves as a National Clinical Advisor at the Chief Scientist Office and Executive Medical Director at Change Grow Live.

His work includes landmark studies on fentanyl prevalence among opioid users, feasibility of mobile health interventions for methadone adherence, and cluster randomized trials evaluating contingency management for heroin abstinence.
