Gemma Mansi

Dr. Gemma Mansi is a Principal Lecturer and Programme Leader in the School of Education at the University of Greenwich, where she also serves as Deputy Head (Academic). She leads the BA Hons Childhood Studies and Childhood and Youth Studies programmes, overseeing their academic planning, management, and quality assurance. Her roles include teaching sociological and research-based courses across undergraduate programmes in the Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences.

Gemma holds a BA Hons in Childhood Studies (2008) and a PhD in Socio-historical perspectives of young fatherhood (completed 2013) from the University of Greenwich. Her research interests focus on early years education and broader educational studies, informed by her socio-historical research background.

In her administrative roles, she supports strategic leadership and operational management within the School of Education, contributing to programme development and maintaining high-quality student experiences. Her career trajectory reflects deep institutional commitment, from student to senior academic leadership.
