Dr. Mansi Mansi is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics (TSBE), University of Tasmania, where she has been contributing since 2019. She also serves as the PRME Coordinator, leading efforts to integrate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into teaching, learning, and research. Previously, she was a lecturer at the University of Otago, New Zealand. Her academic journey includes a PhD from RMIT University (2013), a Master’s from La Trobe University (2006), and a Bachelor’s from the Institute of Management Studies, India (2004).
Her research centers on sustainability accounting, with a pioneering focus on accounting for biodiversity and extinction accounting. She has published in top-tier journals such as Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal and Accounting and Finance. Her recent work explores modern slavery disclosures, waste reporting, and SDG integration in corporate reporting. The trend in her publications shows a strong commitment to ethical, environmental, and social accountability in business, particularly through bibliometric and thematic analyses of global reporting practices.

Dr. Mansi has secured competitive grants, including a $300,000 ATO grant as Principal Investigator for the UTAS Tax Clinic and multiple internal and external research grants. She actively supervises four PhD students and has completed supervision of Honours and Master’s students. She is also involved in curriculum development, graduate research coordination, and academic governance through various university committees. She leads a community-based project to make the Launceston Harvest Market carbon neutral, demonstrating applied impact of her research.
Dr. Mansi is a member of the Accounting & Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand and contributes to research ethics, teaching innovation, and professional engagement through conferences and industry events.
