Gavin Hollis is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Hunter College, CUNY. He specializes in Shakespeare, Renaissance drama, and early modern cultural geographies, focusing on globalization's emergence in the 16th and 17th centuries. His research bridges theater, literature, and visual culture, examining how spatial and cartographic ideas shaped early modern thought.
Education: PhD in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan (2008).
