Garrey Dennie is an Associate Professor of History at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, serving as Chair of African and African Diaspora Studies. He obtained his Ph.D. in African History from The Johns Hopkins University and teaches courses in Caribbean history, African history, African Diaspora Studies, and American slave systems.
