Gareth Hughes

Dr Gareth Hughes is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester and Consultant in Intensive Care & Respiratory Medicine at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. His expertise spans intensive care medicine, respiratory medicine, and interstitial lung disease, with a focus on acute respiratory distress syndrome and clinical trial leadership. He holds multiple professional qualifications including FFICM, FRCP, and FHEA.

His work integrates translational research with clinical practice, particularly in interstitial lung diseases and acute respiratory failure.

Awards: Recipient of the ATS Abstract Scholarship Award (2017).
